Supernatural Filming

Supernatural Filming

Before I start this, I’d like to add that there are some things I can’t share in this post because they are spoilers, and I don’t want to ruin anything for anyone, and for respect. But we witnessed some AWESOME stuff!

Yes…I watch and love Supernatural. And yes, I’m a “Dean girl”. How can you not love Dean?

The filming was around 2ish in the afternoon, and it was a pretty cloudy day.

I was so nervous…

I am absolutely in love with Jensen, Jared, and Misha, and I couldn’t imagine that I was going to actually SEE them. At one point my hands were shaking…maybe it was the cold weather…but I couldn’t wait.

I remember when my mom and I were driving to the location, all I could think about was “oh my god, this is real, this is real, this is happening”. My mom is also a big Supernatural fan, we watch the show together so this was a BIG deal for us.

When we finally got there, I could see the filming gear and crew members around a black tent. My hands were shaking. Definitely not the weather.

Every step I took, was a step closer to them.

I suddenly realize that other than the cast and crew, there was no one else. No fans. Just me and my mom.

I walk up to security and ask if I could stand here and he said “sure”. OHMYGOD THIS IS HAPPENING [Michel Scott voice].

There they were. Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. The Winchesters. Family. Six meters away.

Hold up. Ruth Connell.

ROWENA’S BACK?! SHE’S ALIVE?

My mom and I were so happy to see Rowena back in action, we love this wee little witch.

We stood there for about five minutes until I see Jensen is waving at us. My heart dropped. I’ve never waved as hard and fast as I did then. I was so happy. That special grin that shows off all my teeth. I turn to my mom, “Is my face red?”

Of course they were fooling around and I loved every second of it. I was witnessing the bloopers for season 13.

They cut the scene and we see Jensen and Jared walk to their tent.

Then we decided to move over to the other side and walk around everything.

Apparently, we weren’t the only fans there. There are two girls standing in the cold and watching. Speaking German.

We slowly, slowly started some conversations. Before we knew it, we’re all laughing and having a great time.

Jared and Jensen walk to the tent. THEY’RE COMING HERE, THEY’RE COMING HERE!

The tent is right beside us, and they’re eating snacks. After three minutes they come out.

Tessa, one of the German girls, holds up her fan art she drew of them and Jared looks over at us, held out a thumbs up, and said, “oh wow!”. But they didn’t come over. Darn.

At this point, I’m beating myself up, “I should’ve said something!”.

My feet are starting to freeze. I put gloves on. Yes, I am aware that hands and feet are two different parts of the body, but that was all I could do.

Ruth Connell comes out of the truck beside us and starts talking to me and my mom, asking how our day is and if the boys came over. Then Ruth and my mom started a full conversation, calling each other sweetie, and throwing compliments. Then left for her scene. She’s so tiny, so sweet, and her accent is THICC Irish. She would be looking back at us, waving and blowing kisses.

After getting some green tea we notice that the scene is over, and the car has arrived. No, sorry. Baby. Baby has arrived.

That was definitely worth witnessing in person. Later the security tells us that they’re moving locations. The four of us move.

Jared is done for the day. Bye bye Jared.

We stand for a couple of hours without visual of what the heck Jensen is doing inside the building, but we’re having so much fun talking that we don’t even notice.

The sun was setting, and more people came to see Jensen Ackles. We decide to take a bunch of pictures with the Impala Baby.

The day had come to an end. I had the best time ever. I loved watching them act, and the scenes were amazing. They were funny, Tessa and Susannah were great company!

Thank you, Jensen and Jared, for the amazing and memorable experience and one of the best TV shows ever. Most importantly thank you, Ruth Connell, for being such a sweetheart, we will love you forever.

And thank you, Tessa and Susannah, for all the laughs and a great time!
