My First Post – Autumn

My First Post – Autumn

Hello reader,

As titled, this is my first blog post. I figured I should get comfortable with the whole “blogging” idea and start off with a clean topic. I’m probably going to look at this, years later in the future, laughing at my writing or style of blogging…I’m looking forward to that day.

“It looked like the world was covered in a cobbler crust of brown sugar and cinnamon.” ― Sarah Addison Allen, First Frost
Autumn is finally upon us. My favorite season. My birth season. The season I feel most welcoming, most warm, and most at home. When the fruits and vegetables grow in large amounts. The rivers run cold while the leaves turn gold. When the crisp leaves gently fall against the light breeze of September. It’s the season of coming together, as we all warm up in this brisk weather. Painting the autumn colours, that remind us of our lovers. This is the best time to read books that travel unknown lands, with those who love to hold hands. Let’s open our doors and explore the autumn, jump into our pile of leaves until we reach the bottom. I have greeted this season with a warm hug, now sipping green tea in this (rather large) mug.

What To Do During The Autumn

There are many things to do during this season, I can’t cover them all, but here are some of my favorite things to do:

  1. Cuddle under a fuzzy blanket and read a book (of course with tea).
  2. Cuddle under a fuzzy blanket and end up rewatching one of your favorite movies.
  3. FRIENDS! (…the show of course).
  4. Wear fuzzy socks around the house because now no one can judge you.
  5. Eat tons of fruits. Primarily blueberries.
  6. Cut a watermelon in half, and eat it with a spoon.
  7. Explore the forest (…or a park).
  8. The perfect time to ride your bike.
  9. Collect leaves, just for fun.
  10. Bake something.
  11. Drink tons of tea (…or coffee).
  12. Sweater weather.
